Quirky songs about life in a Narrative Style!

Bio Edward Nass

Musicians mark their journey by milestones in their career. For me, the release of my debut CD in 2012 – Memories and Other Tales, was a big one. This has been followed by an equally large one with my follow up CD, Doing Nothing (2014).
My 3rd CD, Facebook Friends(2017), is now available. If you relate to the song – please get a life 🙂

I am a lyricist with an art for telling stories from a life’s journey. My songs are about community, family, history and experiences all in a narrative style.

What people say:-

“You get the stories exactly right” Brian Amos 98.1, Eastern FM.

“LOVE the album. My favourite tracks are Monster Meeting and Lester and
Clyde. They are all awesome but those 2 are my favs. I really like the production and sonic quality of the album too. Not too overdone and well thought out.”
Andrew Wigglesworth. (Weeping Willows)

“These songs are important in the folk genre as they are about a life’s journey” Michael Crichton. 3WBR FM

Mate, you are awesome, great set” Usually some audience member at a show.

I believe in the entertainment quality of music and many of my songs have an element of humor, guaranteed to get you laughing, but also may have a serious message. They are a comment on life, from a personal perspective, to which many can relate.  But don’t look too deep, music is about fun, having a good time and joining in. There is nothing better than singing along with the chorus!
Whether lost in the spirituality of the bush, historical events or loss and grief, they will strike a chord with you.

So chuckle to Supermarket Blues, Working in the Yard, Viagra or the pleasures of not having to shave and be moved with Losing You, Watching Clouds or Going Bush.

My more serious songs about loss have touched people in a way that is highly personal.

At my shows you can expect to be entertained with stories, laugh at the humor of every day events, feel moved by the truthfulness and honesty and to be a part of the show when you join in with songs. Audiences love to tap their feet, dance and sing along.

My Bands

RoyaltyEdward and Reid (EIIR)

Edward and Reid Stevens play together as a duo. Rhythm and Bass.
Incorporating the fine harmonies from Reid, we are an entertaining pair still singing my original songs to put a smile on your face.

BAD Pennies
Edward Nass and the BAD Pennies.  Why the BAD Pennies? We were playing a couple of venues at the Basin Music Festival and a camera man looked at us and said – You again, you turn up like bad pennies. I thought it was a good name. Also, because I am the president of BADFolk (Berwick and District Folk Club) it fits with that as well. So the anagram BAD could be Berwick and District Pennies!

BAD Pennies include Reid Stevens on Bass and backing vocals – what a great voice and Abe Haddad on lead guitar.

our style  covers Folk, Ballads, Blues, Rock and Country which includes some covers to which people can sing along.
President and co founder of the Berwick and District Folk Club (BADfolk – see
